Chalk is an Irish three-piece post-punk/electronic project based in Belfast, formed in 2019 after meeting at film school. Influenced by film and the Belfast dance scene, they create an image-driven soundscape with wailing guitars, a relentless rhythm section, and a raw, visceral spoken-word style. The band's latest single, "Afraid," was released on January 16, 2025, as a preview of their upcoming EP 'Conditions III,' which was released on February 21, 2025. The EP was recorded in Iceland and produced by Chris Ryan and Ross Cullen.
